Recording and transcription consent
Before starting a live session, tell everyone what SessionCue does and obtain permission from every person whose voice may be captured.
Effective July 17, 2026
Before you start
- Explain that microphone audio will be transcribed for live table assistance.
- Explain that the transcript, world state, and generated cues may be saved to the SessionCue account.
- Give everyone a genuine choice and do not start until every participant agrees.
- Follow the recording and privacy laws that apply where each participant is located.
During the session
Stop capture if consent is withdrawn or if someone joins who has not agreed. The game master can pause or end the session, then delete the saved session from the Sessions page.
The confirmation checkbox
SessionCue requires a fresh confirmation before each live session. That checkbox is held only in the current page state; it is not stored as a tracking cookie or treated as a substitute for actually speaking with the people at your table.
